Nice to meet you, I’m Rebekah. I love lavender lattes, cobblestones beneath my feet, and a well-planned trip itinerary. I accidentally became a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) when my family relocated from Colorado to Scotland. Through trial, error, and a lot of gumption, I’ve found that raising two kids abroad is a whole lot easier when we’re, well, not at home. So I’ve been documenting our outings, day trips, holidays and everything we do differently as we live our life abroad. I’ve also built a community of parents who live abroad, parents who wish they lived abroad, people who love Scotland, people who live in Glasgow, but get to experience their city from my perspective and everything in between. So what do I do? Well, when I was in 9th grade, my English teacher had us create a multi-genre project. Through art, poetry, journal entries, song lyrics, etc., I found the project to be one of my most treasured creations. That’s what this space is for me - a multi-genre project of video diaries, coffee recommendations, things I love, re-caps, trip itineraries, photographs and anything that embodies a shared human experience. It’s a scrapbook of moments - as a woman, as a mom, and of course, of life abroad.
