Sarah Nurse is a standout in Canadian hockey, suiting up for PWHL Toronto Sceptres and Team Canada. A two-time Olympian, she made history at the 2022 Beijing Games, setting records for most points and assists in a single women’s tournament while helping Canada take home gold. She also earned silver at the 2018 Games and has played a major role in Canada’s success at multiple World Championships. She’s set to hit the Olympic stage again at the 2026 Winter Games in Milan-Cortina. As Vice President of the PWHL Players Association, Sarah is also a leading voice off the ice. She made history as the first Black woman to win Olympic gold in ice hockey and continues to push for greater inclusion and representation in the sport. During the PWHL season, she hosts “Nursey Nights” in partnership with Black Girl Hockey Club Canada - welcoming young girls into the hockey community and creating space for them to thrive. In 2024, she launched her own Summer Summit focused on mentorship and accessibility in hockey, which will return for its second year in 2025. When she’s not in the rink, Sarah’s turning heads in the tunnel.
