Mitchell Marner is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward and alternate captain for the Vegas Golden Knights, widely recognized for his elite playmaking, vision, and defensive reliability. Born in Markham and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, he rose to stardom as a junior hockey sensation with the London Knights, where he historically swept the league, playoff, and Memorial Cup MVP awards while leading his team to a national championship. After being selected fourth overall in the NHL Entry Draft by his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs, he spent nearly a decade breaking franchise assist records and becoming a perennial All-Star. Now a cornerstone of the Golden Knights following a major trade, Marner continues to be one of the league's most versatile threats, combining high-scoring offensive production with top-tier penalty killing.
