Lance Sanders, known as @LGBurna, is a regional cultural narrator whose work bridges HBCU history, community storytelling, and large‑scale creative activations. Through The HIdden History of HBCUs Digital Archives, Lance documents the forgotten athletic programs, traditions, and cultural legacies of North Carolina and Virginia’s HBCUs, building a digital record that preserves stories often missing from institutional memory.
His community work includes collaborations with WilmingtonColor and the development of the NColor Festival, a statewide celebration of art, heritage, and culture. Lance has contributed over $73,000 to HBCU scholarships and student initiatives, reinforcing his commitment to educational access and empowerment.
