Courtney Murray: Digital Content Creator, Podcast Co-Host, & Black Theater Enthusiast
Born and raised just 40 miles east of Broadway in Long Island, New York, Courtney's love for theater was sparked during her involvement in a Georgia Tech production of "Miss Evers Boys" by David Feldshuh. This pivotal moment led her to immerse herself in vintage playbills, obscure theater facts, and the vibrant world of Black theater productions. Currently based in Memphis, Courtney volunteers as a dedicated usher and helps promote local productions.
Courtney's passion for theater led her to create a platform called "Black Theater Nerd" where newcomers and seasoned theater nerds alike can come together to revel in the multifaceted world of theater. With four tattoos honoring her favorite plays - "Aida," "The Lion King," "Hamilton," and "Jesus Christ Superstar" - Courtney wears her passion for theater proudly. Follow her journey and explore the diverse facets of theater on Instagram @blacktheaternerd. Join Courtney in celebrating the magic of theater, right where you are.
